Equibase today reported that visitors to equibase.com on the days of the 2012 Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby totaled 1,066,832, which is 13 percent above the 942,165 visitors during the comparable two-day period in 2011. mobile.equibase.com traffic also continues to grow, with more than 190,000 visitors on Kentucky Oaks and Derby days.
"The Kentucky Derby and our sport’s other signature events continue to generate enthusiasm among longtime fans as well as newcomers to racing, and this milestone volume of web traffic and additional mobile traffic certainly affirms that," said Equibase’s manager of eBusiness Operations and Development, Chris Dawahare. "We look forward to providing a wide range of racing information in support of the Preakness and Belmont Stakes in the weeks ahead."
