Equibase Company LLC, the Thoroughbred industry’s official database for racing information, hosted a record 634,352 visitors on equibase.com on the days of the Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby. The total is 19.3 percent above the 531,816 visitors during the comparable two-day period in 2007.
“equibase.com continues to serve an increasing audience of racing fans each year not only with pre- and post-race information but with a variety of other products that help them enjoy our sport during the Triple Crown and throughout the year,” said Hank Zeitlin, president and COO of Equibase.
equibase.com provides a comprehensive array of racing information, including programs, entries, result charts and a full line of past performance products for handicappers of every skill level. The site is also home to Virtual Stable®, which provides e-mail notification of entry, result and workout information for horses that fans want to follow. Virtual Stable also offers seasonal “race series” notifications, a once-daily report of activity for contenders for the Triple Crown races and the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
