ELMONT, N.Y. - On the heels of the popular "Play Saratoga" game, The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) and Equibase Company will launch the official "Play Belmont" Facebook game on Super Saturday, October 1, a day featuring five Grade 1 races at Belmont Park.
The free game, developed by Cornett Integrated Marketing Solutions, includes daily, weekly, and grand prizes, and will run through Sunday, October 30, the end of the Belmont meet.
Up for grabs in the free game will be $2,400 in cash prizes, 2011 Breeders’ Cup tickets, and Equibase premium past performances.
Fans can sign up to play through their Facebook accounts by going to the NYRA Facebook page, the Equibase Facebook page, or by visiting www.playbelmont.com.
To earn points, players select the top three finishers of each race on the Belmont card before post time for race 1. Scoring for each race ranges from 175 points for selecting the trifecta in correct order down to 25 points for correctly selecting a horse to show.
