equibase.com Draws Record Traffic on Kentucky Oaks and Derby Days


Equibase today reported record pageviews across all its electronic platforms - equibase.com, the Today’s Racing app and mobile.equibase.com - on the days of the 2014 Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby. Total pageviews for all mediums totaled 7.2 million according to Google Analytics, an 18 percent increase over the 6.1 million pageviews during the comparable two-day period in 2013.

"equibase.com, along with our mobile site and the Today’s Racing app, are providing fans - both newcomers and longtime enthusiasts alike - with a wide variety of information and statistics to help them enjoy our sport during the Triple Crown and throughout the year," said Equibase president and chief operating officer, Hank Zeitlin.

One of racing’s first websites with its launch in 1995, equibase.com serves as a central source of racing information and currently averages nearly 900,000 pageviews daily. mobile.equibase.com, which was launched in 2003 and optimized for smartphones in 2010, averages 250,000 pageviews daily. The free Today’s Racing app was launched in 2011 and averages 650,000 pageviews daily.
