Handicapped by The Turf Club Analysts

Bar

Hawthorne - Race #6 - Post: 3:45pm - Claiming - 8.5 furlongs on the Turf. Purse: $16500 Class Rating: 100

Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

Choice Plays:

#8 BROCTANE (NZ) (ML=8/1)
#9 DAVID K (ML=5/1)
#3 SIR TRICKY (ML=6/1)

BROCTANE (NZ) - This gelding has the top turf number in his last race. It doesn't take a college grad like The Brain to figure this here animal has a good chance. DiVito brings him right back. I recommend you stay with this hot gelding. This rider/trainer duo has been producing a very profitable ROI, right at +75. This gelding registered a good speed figure of 99 in his last affair. That figure should be good enough to win this time around. DAVID K - I think this horse should run back to his winning race from Aug 13th, when he won a $18,000 Claiming race. Expect this horse to be back of the pack early and come finishing best of all. Finished off the board last out at Hawthorne, but was within five lengths of the winner. Opening at 5/1 makes me think he's got a chance. Ran a lackluster race at Hawthorne last time around the track. Racing without a bad track puts this horse at the top of my contenders list. SIR TRICKY - Robertson is great in turf routes. This horse should have no justifications if he doesn't win. Look for this gelding to show better right here in this race. Last race at Hawthorne finishing eighth on the soft turf is no sign of his true talent. This gelding is at the top in EPS (earnings per start). Take a long look at this one in the post parade.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 MACHO CAMACHO (ML=4/1), #2 BROKERAGE HOUSE (ML=5/1), #5 TOM ARCHDEACON (ML=6/1),

MACHO CAMACHO - Has been beaten as the chalk in back to back races. A repeat is probably in store. Don't feel this mount will make a winning move in today's event. That last speed figure was mediocre when compared with today's class rating. BROKERAGE HOUSE - Doubtful that this animal will finish better than he did last time when ending up fourth. TOM ARCHDEACON - This equine doesn't have a winner's nature. Quite often finishes second or third.
