My pick in here is BILLY'S WAY especially at a such a nice price. Always good to invest in a trainer with this kind of very good win percentage - 21 percent - at this distance & surface. Has some interesting angles which make this entrant a play. His chances to score are much better this time around facing this less demanding field of horses. DUKE OF LONDON - Will most likely come out sharp - I have liked the way this gelding has moved promptly to the lead recently. Has to be given a shot versus this group displaying very good figures lately and an average speed figure of 61 under similar conditions. LIKE MIKE - Has respectable early lick and should fare admirably versus this field.

SAN CART is the strongest wager in this race and is a very strong value bet given the line. Displays the look of a profitable play, averaging a solid 75 Equibase Speed Figure which is one of the best in this group. Sanchez has sharp numbers that point to this gelding to be a very solid contender. Sanchez will almost certainly be able to get this gelding to break out quickly in this contest. ALASKAN FIRE - Walker has this gelding racing well and is a decent pick based on the very good speed figures posted in sprint races lately. DON'TCALLMECHRIS - Could best this field based on the speed rating - 82 - of his last affair. Is difficult not to consider based on Equibase Speed Figures which have been solid - 60 avg - of late.

MASTER CAT - This speed freak is running a shorter distance today. Should enhance his chances to win. The jockey and handler combination have a beneficial return on investment when they join forces. This horse picks up a lot of cash per race around the track. Tops in this event. This gelding is rounding his way back into shape. Should race well today. JUSMARP - Strong return on investment for this rider and trainer pair.
Vulnerable Contenders: #12 CAVANAUGH (ML=9/2), #4 HAPPY PRAYER (ML=5/1), #3 BUFORD T JUSTICE (ML=6/1),
CAVANAUGH - Not probable for this racer to do much in today's event. The extended vacation is a troublesome sign. Substandard speed fig in the last race at Santa Anita at 6 furlongs. Don't believe this racer will improve too much in today's race. HAPPY PRAYER - Pace is so vital, and this speed merchant is going to have a ding-dong battle on his hands. Not probable that the speed figure he registered on March 29th will be enough in this race. BUFORD T JUSTICE - Not much value on this entrant at the likely odds of 6/1.

MUSKWA - This gelding was sharp enough to post a 'top two' workout recently. I think he's ready for today's event. I really like that this horse shows a gate work since the last affair and is getting blinks on today. Always a good angle to play. FRESH AND ROYAL - This gelding is in first-rate condition right now. Finished sixth last time out and comes back soon. You'll be generating money left and right by turning your gambling cash onto this jockey/conditioner combination. Lets try to beat the morning-line choices with this gelding. Just missed last out, but ran a pretty good race. SKEWED - This jockey and handler have a favorable ROI when they join forces. Colt is a few starts into a comeback here. Should give a big race today. I believe the addition of blinkers today will help this colt focus his attention on racing. MIGHTY FENIAN - Doyle brings him back again. I propose you stick with this live gelding. Look for this one to go gate to wire in victory at some pretty good odds right here in this race. Ran fifth in last race, but not more than 5 from the lead at the end.

BILBO - In any race of 7 furlongs, I like to support a contender that has been on the board in sprint affairs lately. Can't play this morning-line favorite off the extended vacation. KAMBOO MAN - Won't be easy for this thoroughbred to beat this field off of that last speed figure. Improbable to improve enough to run a figure anywhere near today's Equibase class figure, so put him on the questionable contenders list. CHRISCODEY - Finished third in his most recent effort with a common speed rating. When I look at today's Equibase class figure, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this group.
