RUTLEDGE LION - This colt should be at the peak of fitness, this far into his form cycle. In the last race, finished fourth on a sloppy track at Charles Town. Expect better right here.

DOWN TOWN ALLEN - Don't think that this filly has value at 7/5 today. SMART TORI - In any contest of 7 furlongs, I like to wager on a contender that has been sharp in sprint races of late. Earned a substandard speed fig last time around the track in a $50,000 Optional Claiming race on October 14th. Not likely to see an improved performance off of that rating. DOUBLE DUTY - This racer just hasn't looked fit of late. I find it hard to play any pony in a sprint race if he hasn't finished in the money in a sprint in the last couple months.

REMEMBER SEATTLE - The 80 latest race fig looks good on paper. This horse picks up a lot of cash per start. I believe she can augment the lifetime total in this race. CANYOUTOPTHIS - I really like that recent effort on Oct 19th at Turf Paradise where she ended up fourth. The jockey/trainer tandem of Hernandez and Ferguson has a strong ROI together. Last ran at Turf Paradise and finished fourth. Reviewing her PP lines, I see she was close at the wire, within five of the winner. HEINOUS - Taking this jockey/handler combination is a smart choice. I like to play this handicapping angle, a horse coming back off a good race within the last 30 days. Filly took a little vacation, but has been racing into shape.

Vulnerable Contenders: #5 SHESOURKINDAGAL (ML=5/2), #3 DUE WEST (ML=7/2), #1 RUNAWAY WINNER (ML=6/1),

SHESOURKINDAGAL - This steed just hasn't been winning as the favorite. DUE WEST - Doesn't look inspiring to me after the lack of any type of closing ability on October 10th. RUNAWAY WINNER - Difficult to bet on at 6/1 odds after the most recent showings. This mare hasn't had any in the money results in short distance races in the last 60 days.
