Virtual Stable^® Information Page

Adding a Horse -
To add a horse to your Virtual Stable, under Build/Manage My Stable click on 'Horses' and then choose 'Add a new horse'. Type the horse's name in the top box and any comments you would like to add (if any) in the lower box. Then press 'Add Horse/Comment'. This will take you to a confirmation list of all horses which share that name. Additional information including breed, sex and year of foaling will help you choose the right horse. Additionally, all foreign horses will have their name followed in parenthases by their country of foaling. Just click the name of the horse you would like to add to your stable. The horse will be added to your stable immediately.

Problems adding a horse? The most common problem adding a horse to your stable is incorrect spelling of the horse's name. If your seach comes back as 'Sorry, no matches were found', re-check the spelling of the horse's name. Additionally, Virtual Stable®is only set up to notify you of horses which are currently racing so horses older than 15 years are omitted from the horse name search as are horses which are over 5 years old and have not had a race start within the last two years.

Adding a Trainer -
To add a trainer,under Build/Manage My Stable click on 'Trainers' and then click on 'Add a new trainer'. Input the trainer's last name or first and last initial to search for this person. If you are unsure of the spelling input as much of the name as possible and click the search for trainer/comment button. The system will then return all trainers with this information. From that list you may click on the trainer's name to add them to your stable.

Adding Carryovers -
To add carryovers to your stable, under 'Change My Preferences' click on 'Carryovers' and then change your setting to 'Send Carryover Notifications'. To change the amount of the carryover notifications, click on under Build/Manage My Stable click on 'Carryovers' and use the drop down menu to select the minimum amount of carryover you wish to be notified about and press the 'ok' button.

Buying Products -
Registration with Virtual Stable^® does not include registration with equibase.com. If you would like to make a purchase of an Official Equibase® Race Program, Equibase Full PP Program, TrackMaster Platinum PP, EGraph™ or other product offered through Virtual Stable^®, you will need to register with equibase.com.

Changing your E-Mail address -
Click the 'change your email address' link and fill in the address you want your stable to go to. An email verification will be sent to your old email address. You will need to open that email and click the link provided in order to activate the email address change. If you no longer have access to your old email address, just send a message to feedback@equibase.com. Make sure you send us the old address along with the new e-mail address and we'll make this change for you. Click here to email us now.

Deleting Horses -
You can delete and change comments of all your horses by selecting the Delete a horse/Change a comment link. Make all your changes and then click the 'Save Changes' button. This will make all your changes at the same time. You can also delete all the horses in your stable by clicking the box next to the "Check to delete all horses" text. Please note that all changes made including deleting all your horses is permanent.

Deleting Trainers -
You can delete and change comments of all your trainers by selecting the Delete a trainer/Change a comment link. Make all your changes and then click the 'Save Changes' button. This will make all your changes at the same time. You can also delete all the trainers in your stable by clicking the box next to the "Check to delete all trainers" text. Please note that all changes made including deleting all your trainers is permanent.

Deleting Carryover Notifications -
To stop receiving carryover notifications, under 'Change My Preferences' click on 'Carryovers' and change the radio button to 'Don't send carryover notifications' and then click the 'ok' button.

Deleting a Race Series -
To delete a race series, under Build/Manage My Stable click on 'Race Series' and then choose 'delete a race series'. Then use the drop down box to pick the series you would like to delete and press the 'delete' button. This will remove the series from your stable and will also allow you to add individual horses from the series to your stable.

Deleting Your Stable-
To delete your stable, from the Main page, under Administer My Stable, click on 'Delete My Stable'. Then click the 'yes' button. This will permanently delete your stable and cannot be restored so make sure you want to take this step before deleting.

Email Frequency - Horse notices are available as 'immediate' notice or 'digest' version. The digest version is sent once per day about 9pm, ET. Immediate notices are sent as the information is available in our offices at Equibase. By default, all stables are set to sent immediate notices. If you would prefer to receive the digest, under 'change your preferences' from the Main Page click on 'Horses' then select 'digest' notification frequency.

Trainer, Carryover and Race Series notifications are available as digest version only. Race Day notifications are available as immediate version only.

Please note:
Race Series notices are only sent as digests.
Race Day nofifications are only sent as direct email.

Email Notification Types -
Horse Notifications - Choices on the types of horse notifications you may receive with Virtual Stable^®
Entries:
Early and Final Entries - You will be sent an entry notification for each of these immediately following the processing of this information into the database.
Race Day Notifications - You will be sent a notification that the horse is running a few hours before the first race of the day at that track. Available as immediate notifications only.
Final Entries only - You will receive notice when the final entries are processed into our database.
Results:
Send results notifications - You will be sent a notification when we receive the results of the race. This notification will contain a link to the Official Equibase® Chart.
Don't send results notifications - You will not receive results notifications.
Workouts:
Send workout notifications - You will be sent a notification when we receive a workout for one or more of your horses.
Don't send workout notifications - You will not receive workout notifications.

Trainer Notifications -
All trainer notifications can provide entries and results for your chosen trainer(s). Notifications are sent once daily.

Carryover Notifications -
Carryover notifications will alert you to carryovers for all tracks which meet your chosen dollar minimum. Dollar minimums for notifications can be set at: No minimum (All), $5,000, $20,000, $50,000, $100,000, $500,000 and $1,000,000.

Race Series Notifications -
All Race Series notifications will include all workouts, entries and results for horses included in that series. Horses in the series are pre-populated and are updated by equibase.com staff.

To make any changes to any of your notice preferences, from the Main Page, under 'Change My Preferences' click on the type of notification you'd like to update.

Getting More Information On A Horse-
Virtual Stable^® is only a notification service, it cannot provide detailed information on individual horses. If you would like more information on a particular horse, including pedigree or lifetime past performances, we recommend visiting our 'By Horse' product pages here.

Getting More Information On A Trainer-
To find out more about a particular trainer's race record, visit www.equineline.com

Logon Id -
Your logon id must always be your e-mail address. If you need to change your e-mail address on file with us, just send a message to feedback@equibase.com and tell us you need to make this change for your Virtual Stable^®. Make sure to send us the old address along with the new e-mail address and we'll make this change for you.

Not Receiving Notices -
The most common problems associated with failure to receive notices are:

Wrong horse in the stable - Many horses share a name and are differentiated only by year of birth, country of birth, or breed. If you are not receiving notices for a particular horse, we highly recommend deleting the horse in your stable and then re-adding it using the sex, foaling date, breed and country information to help you add the right horse into your stable.

Wrong e-mail address registered - Some users have registered using incorrect or fake e-mail addresses or have changed their address since registering with us. Notices can only be sent to functioning accounts so make sure you register with your correct e-mail address. If you're concerned that there may be an incorrect address listed for you, please contact us at feedback@equibase.com to ensure we have the correct information on file.

Your e-mail provider is running a filter on your mail box - Some e-mail and service providers use certain mailing characteristics to determine if a server is sending legitimate e-mail or is sending unsolicited mail (SPAM). These are automated systems and occasionally they make mistakes. If you have not been receiving any notices from Virtual Stable^®, you can contact us at feedback@equibase.com to verify that we have been sending e-mail to your address. If we have been doing so and you have not been receiving them, we will recommend that you contact your e-mail or internet service provider to determine whether they are filtering out Virtual Stable®notices.

AOL Users -
Please note that a few America Online users occasionally experience problems receiving their Virtual Stable^® notifications. AOL recommends the following:

1) Add virtualstable@equibase.com to your personal address book
2) Check your personal e-mail setting to make sure they are not setup to block e-mail from Virtual Stable^®

Password -
By default, when you begin your stable, your password is your e-mail address. If you would like to change your password, you may do so here.

Race Series -
The Race Series Notices allow you to easily follow all the top contenders listed as a nominee for that series. No need to find out who's in and who's out, the Race Series does it all for you. The notices are sent in digest format only once a day. Adding a series to your stable will not affect the horses in your stable. Horses in the series are pre-populated and are updated by equibase.com staff.

Record/Change Comment -
Comments are optional but may help you to remember why you are following the particular horse or trainer. To add or change a comment for a horse or trainer, under Build/Manage my stable click on 'horses' or 'trainers' and then click on Record/Change Comment link. Then, use the drop down box to choose the horse or trainer you'd like to add a comment for and then enter the comment. Press the 'Submit My Comment' button. You will then see your comments any time you get a notice for the horse or trainer. Please note the comment field is a maximum of 250 characters including spaces so large comments may need to be edited or abbreviated in order to fit.

Stakes Notifications -
The Stakes Notifications notifies you once daily of Thoroughbred Stakes races. You can set your preferences to receive notices for all stakes races, only graded stakes or only grade 1 stakes.

What Is Virtual Stable^®? -
Virtual Stable^® is a notification service that sends you an email when Equibase receives data on horses, trainers, carryovers or race series you have entered into your stable.
