My selection in this race is IMAGE and is a competitive value-based bet given the 10/1 line. With Pena getting the mount, watch out for this pony. Jockey's recent ROI numbers make this colt a good bet. Jones has him trained soundly to break rapidly out of the starting gate. FOUR COURTS - He has been racing soundly lately while recording solid Equibase speed figs. Has quite good early speed and will probably fare quite well against this group. EVIL EMPIRE - With a solid 72 average speed rating at the distance, seems well suited for today's contest. This gelding gets a boost with Reyes in the saddle.

MINT DRIVEN - Trainer King moves this one down in class to face weaker company. Look for a good effort racing against these lower level horses. This animal didn't run well on the soft turf in her last race around the track at Ellis Park. You probably want to overlook that showing. MISTRIAL WIND - The rider and trainer combination have a positive return on investment when they join forces. I like that most recent outing on July 14th at Presque Isle Downs where she ended up third.

Vulnerable Contenders: #8 BAYTOWN STORM (ML=3/1), #4 HITS DIFFERENT (ML=4/1), #1 NEW ISSUE (ML=6/1),

BAYTOWN STORM - This filly is always in the mix, but just doesn't win. Hard to play her on the win end. HITS DIFFERENT - Difficult to put any money on this mare on the top end. Likes to end up on the board though. May bounce off of that last physical exertion. NEW ISSUE - Just can't bet on this vulnerable equine. Didn't show me anything positive in the last race or on Jul 14th.

My choice in this competition is HALF TO RELOAD. Should best this group here, showing strong figs of late. Vanek will probably be able to get this gelding to break out quickly for this event. Garnered a respectable Equibase Speed Figure last time out. ERNIE'S MARTINI - Reliable average speed figs in dirt sprint races make this racer a definite contender. Will most likely come out solid - I have liked the way this gelding has moved quickly to the front end recently. FAIRWAY TO HEAVEN - Has recorded formidable speed figs in dirt sprint races in the past. Cathcart and Sanchez have a good win percent together.

HERE COMES DOLLY - This mare is at the same 6 furlongs distance she won at on March 24th, which was at a higher class level than today's affair. This mare likes to lay just off the pace and the way things shape up here, she should get an ideal trip. I like this horse. Should be familiar with this level since she ran against the same type last out at Thistledown. Have to make this mare a serious competitor; she comes off a good race on Jul 21st. LADY LOVES MONEY - I think this filly is very sharp right now. I like the fact that Crumley brings her back to a race so quickly. This filly won at this distance on April 8th and was at a higher class than today. Another way to judge class is earnings per start. This horse has the uppermost in the field. I think she'll be close at the finish.

COME ON ARLENE - This filly showed little last out. July 14th is the last time we've seen this filly around. Have to be a little bit leery. SHES A STORM - Don't think this horse will do much running in today's race. That last speed rating was disappointing when compared with today's class rating. WINGS OF HEAVEN - Speed ratings of 43/37/30 are pointed on a downward course.

GUEST COMMENTARY: Winston - LADY LOVES MONEY - This filly takes a big tumble in the class rating department from a rating of 66 down to 53. Strong contender.
